Phlebotomist - Patient Care Provider

ROLE Overview:
In cooperation with the Patient Care Fields Operations Supervisor and Group Leader, the phlebotomist performs all specimen collection procedures in a locations area. Maintains a professional and positive demeanor that contributes toward excellence in servicing clients and patients. The standard of ethical and professional performance must be consistent with established medical laboratory practice and demonstrate the philosophy of Mid America Clinical Laboratories.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Minimal requirements must be met to fulfill Primary Role Responsibilities. These requirements are reflected in the Experience Required and Skills Required sections as well as on the Physical Requirements and Environmental Worksheet.
High School education or equivalent; training or certification in phlebotomy; minimum of a training course in phlebotomy or six months experience performing venipuncture on all types of patients including geriatric, pediatric and chronically ill. Good verbal and written communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills. You must have computer skills, type a minimum of 35 - 40 WPM.
General experience level, limited customer and client contact or responsibility, limited scope and responsibility of duties, closely supervised, hospital based routine work. Handles limited paperwork and computer functions.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
Ability to communicate and service customers independently and ethically with focus on the customer. Ability to work in a team and help anyone in the team when necessary. Demonstrate knowledge of phlebotomy and specimen collection techniques in order to provide services appropriate to the age of the customer served.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
